COPIC 101
Saturday, August 15, 2009
10-Noon

Learn about Copic markers, the markers that go way beyond coloring stamped images to cardstock, transparencies and more surfaces than you can imagine. Learn about the different styles of markers, how the markers work, without the revealing brushstrokes so often associated with marker coloring. Unlock the secrets to choosing colors for blending and shading. We will practice four blending techniques with a three page handout that is yours to keep for reference and practice; and an airbrushing demonstration will also be included with hands-on use as time allows. Class taught by Sally Lynn MacDonald, National Copic Certification Trainer and Design Team member for Copic / Imagination International.

Copic 102 – Summer Acrylic Album, aka ‘Let No Surface Remain UnInked’

Saturday, August 15th – 1:30-3:30pm

In this technique-packed workshop we will go beyond the basics to explore using Copic inks and the many surfaces and techniques used to color them. From layering colors on transparencies, to airbrushing on acrylic as well as coloring 'bling', felt, epoxy stickers, ribbon, metal and chipboard, Sally Lynn will guide you through every surface to go way above and beyond stamped images to altering everything. We'll also explore complementary products such as Glimmer Mist and Nestabilities dies. There are no mistakes in class, only a new and different way to go about a technique. Come join us for an evening of exploring this wonderful medium and make this fantastic acrylic album with all of the techniques and surfaces we will explore and alter!

What to Bring: 12” Trimmer, Scissors, Wet Adhesive, such as Fabritac or Zip Dry (strongly recommended), Black permanent marker and a Cropadile if you have one.
